City of Needles Municipal and Infrastructure Improvement Bond
Measure L would authorize $11,200,000 of bonds to fund roads and transportation infrastructure; repairing and repaving streets; fixing potholes; maintaining community safety; improving parks and recreational facilities; and revitalizing downtown Main Street. To repay the bonds, Measure L will allow an increase in the property tax rate to $60 per $100,000 of assessed value of taxable property.
This measure requires approval by two-thirds of voters voting on the measure to pass.
Fiscal Impact: Measure L will provide up to $11,200,000 in general obligation bonds. The corresponding property tax increase will raise approximately $739,971 annually while bonds are outstanding.
